POPLARVILLE – Pearl River Community College baseball will host a kids hitting camp in late January and early February.
The camp will allow young hitters ages 6-12 to develop proper mechanics from college coaches and players.
Campers will be divided into small age-appropriate groups and taught hitting drills, participate in multiple drill stations and get live reps in batting practice. These stations will take place on the PRCC baseball field and in the indoor batting cages.
It is scheduled for four Tuesday nights, beginning Jan. 23 and running through Feb. 13. Each camp runs about 90 minutes, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Cost is $100 for early registration on-line and $125 for walk-up registration on the first day of camp. There is a limit of 72 players. Campers need to bring cleats, tennis shoes, gloves, bats and helmet. Water and a camp shirt will be provided.
To register on-line or to print out a registration form, log-on to prccbaseballcamps.com. For more information, contact assistant coach and camp coordinator Sam Roberson at (972) 310-8660 or at email@example.com.
