Freshman Jamani Glover had another stellar game for Pearl River Community College Thursday night as the Wildcats got payback for their only loss of the season in a 72-69 victory over Mississippi Delta at Moorhead.
PRCC improved to 8-1 overall with its sixth consecutive win; MDCC dropped to 5-6.
Glover, a 6-foot-2 guard from Mobile, Ala., scored 22 points and grabbed 5 rebounds, building off his 21-point effort in Pearl River’s last game before the Christmas break, a 70-56 win at Meridian.
The Wildcats trailed 28-27 at halftime, but converted 10 of 18 shots from the field in the second half, and were 30 of 38 from the foul line for the game.
Redshirt sophomore Adrian Williams (Jackson) added 14 points for PRCC.
Pearl River has one more non-division contest remaining, at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Delgado in New Orleans, before getting back into South Division play next Thursday at home against Southwest.
