Q:    Where is online testing at the Poplarville Campus?
A:    The online testing room for the Poplarville campus is located in the Garvin H. Johnston Library.

Q:    Where is online testing at the Forrest County Center?
A:    Online testing for FCC is done in the Learning Lab, Building 4.

Q:    Where is online testing at the Hancock Center?
A:    Online testing for the Hancock Center is conducted in the Testing Room.

Poplarville Proctoring Hours:

       Fall/Spring semester proctoring:
       Monday-Thursday – 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
       Friday – 8 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
       Please register online.

       Summer semester proctoring:
       Monday-Wednesday: 8 a.m. - 4:30 pm.
       Thursday: 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
       Friday: Closed

Forrest County Center Proctoring Hours:

Hancock Center Proctoring Hours:

       Available times and dates are in SmarterProctoring when making your appointment. In the Fall and Spring semesters testing is available on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Q:    How do I make an appointment for a Canvas Test in an Online Class?
A:    Schedule at least a day before you need to take a test. There is no same day scheduling.

  • Log into Riverguide and click on Canvas.
  • Click on the class for which you want to schedule a test.
  • Click on SmarterProctoring on the menu.
  • A new window will open that should take you to the SmarterProctoring webpage. *The first time you visit, you may have to register your address and other information. This is not the same as making an appointment.
  • Click ‘Select Proctor’ on the test you need to schedule.
  • There will be two options – Face to Face and B-Virtual (if your instructor has allowed). If you choose Face to Face, you will be able to choose a free proctor facility from the Mississippi Virtual Community College. There is a charge for B-Virtual testing which is completed from a home computer.
  • If you choose Face to Face, choose your proctoring center. Please schedule 48 hours in advance.

The next page has the following steps:

  1. Exam Description – Read this information.
  2. Select a Date for your exam.
  3. Choose a Time.
  4. Who is taking the exam? – Verify the information given. Enter a valid email address in case you need to change the time of your appointment. If you are using your PRCC email, the last part of the email address is @student.prcc.edu.
  5. Exam guideline acknowledgement. – Read the Testing Center rules and click the button to agree to the rules.
  6. Enter a valid phone number in case we need to reach you about your appointment.

Be sure to click ‘Complete Registration’ or your appointment will not be scheduled!

Q:    How do I make an appointment for a Traditional/Hybrid quiz at the Poplarville campus?

A: Schedule at least a day before you need to take a test. There is no same day scheduling.

  • Click on PRCC Traditional/Hybrid Appointment.
  • Click on Book Now.
  • Choose Traditional/Hybrid Courses.
  • Choose the Correct Class/Test.
  • Select a Date and time to take your exam.
  • Fill in the requested information. Enter a valid email address in case you need to change the time of your appointment. If you are using your PRCC email, the last part of the email address is @student.prcc.edu.
  • Read the Pearl River Community College terms and conditions (Testing Center rules).
  • Agree to the cancellation policy.
  • Click ‘Book Now’.

Q:    How do I make an appointment for a Traditional/Hybrid quiz at the Hattiesburg campus?

A:    Schedule at least a day before you need to take a test. There is no same day scheduling.

  • Click on FCC Trad/Hybrid Appointment.
  • Choose ‘Traditional/Hybrid Courses’ from the ‘Choose a Group’ drop down menu.
  • Select the correct exam from the drop down menu.
  • Choose a date and time.
  • Fill in the requested information.
  • Click ‘Add to Cart’.
  • On the next page, you must click ‘Complete Registration’ or your appointment will not be scheduled.

Q:   How do I make an appointment at the Poplarville Campus for a test for another Institution?

A:    Schedule at least a day before you need to take a test. There is no same day scheduling. Approval to test at PRCC has to be received from the college before testing.

  • Click on PRCC Other Institution Appointment.
  • Click on Book Now.
  • Choose Other Institution.
  • Choose the University or Other University.
  • Select a Date and time to take your exam.
  • Fill in the requested information. Enter a valid email address in case you need to change the time of your appointment.

Q:   How do I make an appointment at the Forrest County Center for a test for another Institution?

A:    Schedule at least a day before you need to take a test. There is no same day scheduling. Approval to test at PRCC has to be received from the college before testing.

  • Click on FCC Other Institution Appointment.
  • Choose ‘Other Institutions’ from the ‘Choose a Group’ drop down menu.
  • Select the ‘Other Institutions’ from the ‘Choose an Exam’ drop down menu.
  • Choose a date and time.
  • Fill in the requested information.
  • Click ‘Add to Cart’.
  • On the next page, you must click ‘Complete Registration’ or your appointment will not be scheduled.

Q:   How do I make an appointment for an ASE Automotive Test?

A:   One appointment needs to be scheduled for each test.

  • Click on Automotive Appointment.
  • Click on Book Now.
  • Choose ASE.
  • Select a Date and time to take your exam.
  • Fill in the requested information. Enter a valid email address in case you need to change the time of your appointment.

  • Click ‘Book Now’.

Q:    Do I have to have an appointment?
A:    Yes.  If you do not have an appointment upon arriving at the testing center, the proctor will instruct you to make an appointment for another day.

Q:    What do I need to bring with me to take the test?
A:    Bring a college-issued or government-issued ID. Do NOT bring cellphones or any electronic devices used to retrieve or transmit information, children, food, or drinks to the testing area. Please dress appropriately. Headgear and any POCKETED OUTERWEAR (including hoodies and sweaters) are NOT allowed while testing. If your instructor is allowing material during the exam, only bring these materials that are allowed.

Q:    Can I change my appointment?
A:    Yes.   Call 601-403-1337 if you will be late and need to adjust your time for the same day. If you need to change the appointment to another day, login the way you scheduled your appointment in order to reschedule. If the appointment is for a traditional, hybrid, or another university, you must find the confirmation email that you received when the appointment was made to reschedule.

Q:    What are the dates my test is available?
A:    Consult your course site (Canvas) to determine the dates for your test.

Q:    Are there any proctoring centers closer to my home?
A:    Within SmarterProctoring change the zip code and/or mile radius to see more testing centers.

Q:    Can a non MSVCC student test at GHJ or FCC?
A:    Yes.  You need to fill out the appropriate form that is provided by your school. This needs to be done well in advance of your test dates to ensure processing of your request. An appointment also needs to be made at the testing center.
